The Opportunity
AccuSourceHR is shifting from traditional software delivery toward a faster, more AI-assisted product and engineering model. We are introducing AI-assisted development, AI coding agents, agentic workflows, human-in-the-loop review, and new ways of defining, testing, and shipping product requirements.
We are looking for a curious, execution-oriented, and technically comfortable AI Product Owner to help sit at the center of this transition. This role combines traditional Product Owner responsibilities with lightweight Agile delivery leadership. The right person will help translate business goals into clear requirements, agent-ready work packets, practical backlog priorities, and well-defined acceptance criteria that enable product and engineering teams to move faster.
This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys hands-on product work, brings structure to ambiguity, and is genuinely excited about how AI is changing the way software gets built in day-to-day practice. The ideal candidate does not need to be a software engineer, but should be comfortable working closely with developers, reviewing technical workflows, using AI tools, and helping teams turn business needs into clear, testable, and shippable product increments.
You will work closely with US-based product leadership and Lithuania-based engineering teams to support product execution, backlog management, sprint planning, AI-assisted delivery workflows, and cross-functional collaboration. You will help developers move faster while making sure the team does not sacrifice quality, security, customer value, or delivery discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership
- Translate business goals into clear user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, and release-ready requirements.
- Own and manage the product backlog so priorities, dependencies, and sprint goals are clear.
- Break larger initiatives into MVPs, phased releases, and practical delivery increments.
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for developers who need clarification on requirements, priorities, edge cases, or expected behavior.
- Partner with product leadership to connect roadmap priorities to customer value, business impact, and delivery feasibility.
- Support lightweight analysis of product usage, customer feedback, support issues, and delivery outcomes to inform prioritization.
- Help ensure delivered functionality matches the intended user experience, business need, and acceptance criteria.
AI-Assisted Delivery and Agentic Workflows
- Convert product requirements into agent-ready work packets that can be used by developers and AI coding tools.
- Help define clear prompts, scope boundaries, non-goals, acceptance criteria, test expectations, and review checklists for AI-assisted work.
- Partner with developers as they use AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Amazon Bedrock, or similar platforms.
- Support peer-style collaboration between product and engineering, where AI may produce draft outputs and humans review, validate, and refine the work.
- Help ensure AI-generated work is reviewed for correctness, security, maintainability, customer value, and alignment with requirements.
- Track where AI-assisted delivery is accelerating work, where it creates rework, and where stronger guardrails are needed.
- Help document reusable patterns, prompt templates, delivery checklists, validation gates, and lessons learned for future AI-assisted work.
Agile Delivery and Scrum Support
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, standups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Help the team maintain a practical delivery rhythm without over-processing work that can move faster through AI-assisted workflows.
- Track sprint progress, blockers, dependencies, carryover, and delivery risks.
- Help remove impediments by coordinating across product, engineering, QA, UX, support, and leadership.
- Improve sprint readiness by ensuring work is clear, testable, appropriately scoped, and ready for development or AI-assisted execution.
- Support consistent use of Jira, Confluence, and delivery dashboards.
- Help the team continuously improve how it plans, reviews, tests, and ships AI-assisted development work.
AI Product and Feature Support
- Partner with product and engineering leadership on AI-powered features, copilots, assistants, workflow automation, and agent-based product capabilities.
- Help define expected outcomes, guardrails, fallback logic, user permissions, audit needs, and success metrics for AI-enabled capabilities.
- Support human-in-the-loop design for AI workflows where accuracy, compliance, privacy, or customer trust matter.
- Help coordinate AI release readiness, including test coverage, edge cases, monitoring, user communication, and rollback considerations.

- Product requirements are clear, testable, and ready for both developers and AI-assisted execution.
- The backlog is organized, current, and aligned with business priorities.
- Developers spend less time waiting for clarification and more time reviewing, validating, and shipping useful work.
- AI-assisted development becomes faster, safer, and more repeatable.
- Sprint ceremonies are practical and useful, not overly bureaucratic.
- Delivery risks, blockers, and dependencies are visible early.
- The team builds reusable templates, prompts, checklists, and patterns that improve future delivery.
- Product and engineering teams work closely together, with AI acting as an accelerator rather than a replacement for human judgment.
Role Summary
This role is ideal for someone who wants to be at the intersection of product ownership, Agile delivery, and AI-assisted software development. The AI Product Owner will help AccuSourceHR move faster by turning business needs into clear requirements, supporting agent-ready development workflows, coordinating sprint execution, and helping product and engineering teams adopt AI in a structured, practical, and responsible way
Requirements:Education/Experience
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Technical Program Manager, Scrum Master, Delivery Lead, or similar role in a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum practices, with practical experience supporting sprint execution.
- Proven ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and delivery-ready requirements.
- Experience managing or supporting a backlog in Jira, Azure DevOps, Linear, or a similar tool.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams to clarify requirements, unblock delivery, and validate output.
- Experience working with distributed teams across time zones.
- Comfortable learning and using AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Amazon Bedrock, or similar platforms.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where processes are evolving and the team is actively adopting new AI-assisted ways of working.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI-assisted development, AI coding tools, agentic workflows, or human-in-the-loop review processes.
- Familiarity with prompt design, AI guardrails, test planning, release readiness, or AI workflow validation.
- Prior experience acting as both Product Owner and Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead.
- Background in software engineering, QA, UX, analytics, technical support, or regulated software environments.
- Experience in B2B SaaS, HR technology, background screening, compliance, workflow automation, or regulated industries.
- Experience helping teams improve delivery metrics, sprint predictability, quality, or cycle time.
- Comfortable reviewing technical outputs at a high level, even if not personally writing production code.

Salary
40,000-55,000 EUR gross/yearly (depending on experience)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to commute to our Vilnius office 2 times / week.
- A dedicated and ergonomic workspace at home conducive to focused work, including proper seating and desk setup.
- Access to a stable and reliable high-speed internet connection.
- Adequate lighting and minimal background noise to support professional video calls and meetings.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 5 pounds occasionally, for tasks such as setting up a workstation or equipment.
