Dispatch & Security Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  • Assist and provide guidance to dispatch operators to resolve problems with the loading process, to ensure safe and efficient operation of the loading process
  • Cover dispatch and security positions as needed during vacancies to ensure 24 hours of operations are achieved.
  • Identify problems with equipment failures, develop solutions, and schedule repairs with other departments to keep product flowing and provide uninterrupted service to customers.
  • Write schedules for both departments and cover vacant shifts to ensure all shifts are covered as required for 24-hour operations.
  • Attend meetings as required to stay informed of plant operations, safety updates, and other important information that may impact dispatch or security operations to ensure the safe operation of dispatch and security.
  • Enter new trucks, trailers, and haulers into SAP to to ensure compliance with DOT regulations reguarding BOL's
  • input PR's and Service entry sheets for products ordered or services performed by vendors to schedule work, order essential item,s and ensure work is performed, items are ordered, and vendors receive payment for their services.
  • Schedule quarterly maintenance for the scales as well as trouble calls to ensure compliance with DOT regulations regarding accurate weights.
  • Communicate/resolve issues with the Billing department (BOL Issues) to ensure proper billing of customers
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • 4 years in the department or equivalent external experience
  • 3 years of experience loading trucks/rail
  • Supervisor role, checking in/out trucks and loading trucks/rail cars, and Security operations
  • Truck Loading / Security / Scale House / Labor Supervisor
