Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized, comprehensive care during the transport of critically ill and injured patients using advanced medical techniques specific to flight nursing.
Document patient assessments, treatment details, and billing information accurately and thoroughly during stabilization and transport.
Facilitate effective communication with management, as well as internal and external clients, to ensure seamless operations.
Support public relations and marketing initiatives for the organization.
Maintain a robust knowledge base through mandatory meetings, education sessions, and clinical rotations to provide top-notch care.
Hold and update all necessary certifications and licenses, functioning under medical protocols to ensure superior clinical care.
Requirements:
Active RN license to practice in Arizona.
Minimum of three years (preferably five) in critical care or emergency settings.
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and one of TNATC, TNCC, ITLS, or PHTLS; NRP and instructor certifications preferred.
CFRN certification within 24 months of hire.
Prior flight or transport experience preferred.
Completion of education/orientation program.
Proficient interpersonal skills for versatile interaction with various personnel and clients.
Adherence to clinical personnel weight restrictions and maintenance of a body weight below 235 lbs.
Basic computer skills for handling electronic communications and documentation.
Successful completion of pre-placement physical and functional capacity exams, as well as a drug screening.
