Locum MD (Medical Doctor);DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Radiation Oncology
Description
This on-site, contract position is located in the vibrant city of Phoenix, offering a unique opportunity to work within the staffing and recruiting industry while making a significant impact in the healthcare sector.
As a Locum MD/DO in Radiation Oncology, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver effective treatment plans. This position not only allows you to utilize your medical expertise but also offers the chance to contribute to important projects within our network, ensuring that patients receive the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive radiation oncology services to patients
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans
- Conduct patient consultations and evaluations
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Participate in clinical meetings and case discussions
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and care
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology
- Active medical license in the state of Arizona
- Strong clinical skills and patient management experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care and safety
- Experience in a locum tenens position is a plus
- Schedule: 8a-4p, 2-5 days per week
Shifts are split between two locations
No call requirement
Patient Volume: 12-18 per shift, ~5 consults per week for full-time coverage

Will contour your own volumes
Support Staff: MA, radiation therapists, remote dosimetrists
EMR: Epic, Aria
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
