Product Owner
Location: Salt Lake City, UT OR Phoenix, AZ
Duration: Long Term
Experience/Technical Skills required :
- 8+ years of overall experience with at least 4+ years as a Product Owner .
- Strong experience in Banking / Financial Services domain .
- Working knowledge or project exposure to American Express (AmEx)processes, systems, or products.
- Strong understanding of Payments, Credit Cards, Merchant Services, Digital Banking , and transaction flows.
- Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodology and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps .
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional specs, user stories, and workflows .
- Excellent communication skills with ability to manage stakeholders across business and technical teams.
- Experience working with API-based integrations , digital platforms, and data-driven products.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to prioritize and make product decisions.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience working directly with American Express programs such as card servicing, fraud, rewards, billing, or customer onboarding.
- Exposure to Fraud Prevention, Dispute Management, Chargebacks, Authorization & Settlement workflows.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to banking.
- Experience with Digital Transformation initiatives in BFSI.
- Certification such as CSPO / SAFe PO/PM is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- MBA or relevant certifications are a plus.
