Staff Software Engineer Scottsdale, AZ (the JD in files is for Calgary, but practically the same)
We're looking for a hands-on Staff Software Engineer to join our team in Scottsdale. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys coding, mentoring, and solving complex technical challenges without being pulled heavily into people management.
What you'll bring:
- Strong experience with React and Node.js (front-end focused, ~70% FE / 30% BE).
- Golang experience is a nice-to-have.
- SaaS product development experience.
- Microsoft ecosystem experience is highly valued.
- At least 2 years of experience at Staff Engineer level .
Key considerations:
- Due to increasing challenges with US immigration processes, Green Card or US Citizenship is strongly preferred.
- Salary range: up to $175K base + stock options (new incentive plan in progress).
Tech environment / comparable companies:
- Similar stacks: Morgan Stanley, Black Duck (ex-Synopsis).
- Relevant industry peers: Amex Rewards (Scottsdale), Nextiva (where one of our Staff Engineers previously came from).
- GoDaddy has a comparable system, though recruiting from them can be challenging due to their fully remote structure.
What's valued most in this role:
- Hands-on technical expertise over leadership responsibilities.
- Ability to mentor and guide other engineers while contributing directly to the codebase.
