Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

• Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86403
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens travel RN
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown (IMC)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2090-$2140
• Patient Ratio: 1:4 or 1:3
• Unit Beds: 30
• Electronic Health Record: Medhost
• Call Requirements: Yes
• Floating: May float to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units (including ED holds for admits)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications for Cardiac Stepdown/IMC (BLS, ACLS preferred)
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in call rotation
• Strong clinical skills in caring for STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, COPD, Sepsis, CABG (post-op day 2), Acute Respiratory Failure, Atrial Fibrillation with RVR, ALIF, and EXLIF patients

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiac Stepdown unit
• Monitor and assess patients with complex cardiac and respiratory conditions
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform advanced cardiac monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using Medhost EHR
• Float to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as needed
• Participate in call rotation and respond to emergent situations
