CVICU RN Job Details

• Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 (Arizona healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Community hospital, CVICU/ICU (16 beds)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (August 25, 2025 – November 24, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2130 - $2190 per week
• Employment Type: Locum tenens, travel nursing contract
• Call Requirements: Yes
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Electronic Health Record: Medhost

CVICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Arizona or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or ICU nursing experience
• Previous travel nurse experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to float to Intermediate Care Unit and Emergency Department holding as needed
• Experience with Baxter infusion pumps preferred
• Comfortable providing care to adult and geriatric patient populations

CVICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to adult and geriatric patients in the CVICU/ICU
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress using Medhost EHR
• Administer medications and manage advanced life support equipment
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide interventions for STEMI, NSTEMI, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, atrial fibrillation with RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR, TVAR, and more
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Float to Intermediate Care Unit and ED holding as primary RN as needed
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and attendance standards
