Conduct regular team meetings and 1:1 sessions to track performance, provide feedback, and address any concerns.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate existing compounding processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Implement Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance productivity, minimize waste, and streamline operations.
  • KPI Tracking & Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, and productivity. Generate regular reports to track progress and identify trends.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all compounding activities comply with USP, FDA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations. Foster a safety-conscious culture by providing training, conducting safety audits, and enforcing safety protocols.
  • Inventory & Material Handling: Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels of compounding materials and proper handling and storage of hazardous and non-hazardous substances.
  • Collaboration & Problem Solving: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Supply Chain, to address operational challenges, resolve issues, and drive production efficiency.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs and ensure the smooth functioning of the compounding department.

You Have

  • Experience: 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical compounding, manufacturing, fulfillment, or a related operational environment. 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience, managing teams in a fast-paced, regulated setting. 2+ years of experience implementing and maintaining OSHA safety standards.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering) is preferred but not required. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and operational reporting tools. Strong knowledge of USP 795, USP 800, cGMP, OSHA, and FDA regulations. Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing production needs, and work effectively under pressure. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including walking, standing, and bending.
  • Can work any shift in the Pharmacy/Fulfillment/Compounding teams. H&H is a 24/7 operation.
  • Sterile & Non-Sterile Compounding: Experience with both sterile and non-sterile compounding procedures is highly desirable.
  • Hazardous & Non-Hazardous Materials: Knowledge of safe handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials used in compounding processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and other regulatory requirements governing pharmaceutical compounding.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and a track record of implementing successful process optimization initiatives.
