Position Summary

The Cath Lab Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and interventional radiologists, in pre, post and intra-procedure care. Provides teaching/follow up to patients and their families, and the management of information for patients undergoing invasive cardiology and/or vascular procedures, while assisting in diagnostic and interventional coronary procedures, IR or vascular procedures based on facility scope.

Required Qualifications

· Must be at least 18 years of age.

· Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.

· Current Arizona or Compact State Registered Nurse License.

· Maintains current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or other approved educational programs.

· Maintains current ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or other approved educational programs.

· Minimum of one (1) year of registered nurse experience in Cath Lab.

· Able to operate all patient care equipment to assist with CV/IR/Vascular procedures within the Cath Lab.

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of MGRMC staff, management, and providers.

· An understanding of computer systems, process design and data management.

· Must have a well-groomed, professional appearance.

· Must have the mental and physical ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, the essential functions of the job.

· Ability to lift, carry, pull, & push 50 pounds.

· Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency.

Preferred Qualifications

· 3 years of registered nurse experience in Cath Lab

· Previous Meditech experience or other related electronic records systems.
