JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Tech I is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process equipment to support efficient and safe plant operations. This role performs preventive maintenance, supports process improvements, and assists in inventory and spare parts management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Assist with routine and emergency repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using standard diagnostic tools.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment to perform repairs or preventive maintenance.
  • Replace or repair defective components.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to maintenance schedule.
  • Ensure equipment operates within safety and quality parameters.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), safety protocols, and PPE guidelines at all times.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs.
  • Support machine installation, relocation, or decommissioning as needed.
  • Respond to work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Possibly work overtime, weekends, or varied shifts as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Technicians are expected to bring their own tools and equipment required to perform maintenance duties; tools are not provided by the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This position is Monday-Friday, 5:30AM - 2:30PM.

Requirements:

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Complete at least 95% of assigned work orders on time.
  • Ensure 100% of preventive maintenance tasks are completed as scheduled.
  • Maintain a record of zero safety incidents or near misses each month.
  • Arrive each day with all required tools and equipment in ready-to-use condition.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 6 months of hands-on mechanical experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Comfortable working in hot, noisy, or physically demanding environments.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly lift and move up to 50lbs; occasionally lift over 100lbs with assistance.
  • Must be comfortable working in manufacturing/industrial environments where safety protocols are critical.
