Instructional Assistant-Preschool

Summary

Robin’s Place Childcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Instructional Assistant to support our early childhood educators in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. Duties

• Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Support classroom management by ensuring a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
• Engage with children through interactive play, storytelling, music, and hands-on learning experiences .
• Assist with daily routines, including mealtime, naptime, and transitions .
• Observe and document children’s progress, assisting with assessments as needed.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group support to help meet individual learning needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
• Foster strong relationships with children, families, and staff, promoting open communication and collaboration .

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; early childhood education coursework is a plus .
• Experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare or educational setting preferred.
• Ability to work patiently, positively, and effectively with young children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills .
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must meet all state licensing requirements , including fingerprint clearance and TB testing.
