This contract opportunity, located near Mesa, AZ, runs from August 3 through May 21, 2027, and focuses on providing structured, intensive support for students with autism and those needing behavioral intervention.

What You Bring:

• Active Arizona Standard Secondary Teaching License
• Current Arizona K-12 Special Education Certificate
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Experience supporting students with emotional disabilities, autism, or those needing focused help with prosocial and self-regulatory skills
• Sensitivity to the needs of at-risk youth, students from diverse backgrounds, students with limited English proficiency, and those with exceptionalities
• Proven ability to develop and execute special services, following all federal, state, and local guidelines
• Completion of or willingness to attend Essential Element of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) professional development

Responsibilities Include:

• Leading a self-contained classroom focused on structured, intensive behavioral and academic support
• Developing and adapting individualized education plans for each student
• Monitoring progress and adjusting strategies to help students achieve their goals
• Collaborating with fellow educators and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for every student
• Creating an inclusive, positive, and safe classroom environment where all students can thrive
• Maintaining clear documentation and ensuring compliance with all mandates
