Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Float Pool experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Required Skills/Experience:Must have unit/specialty experience in the past 6 months.Must be able to titrate cardiac drips and interpret EKGs.

Required Credentials:You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. The exam must be completed within 48 hours of offer; 2 max attempts.Must pass a Sim Lab on day 1 of orientation.

Special Requests:Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details:Telemetry and MedSurg float pool covering cardiac telemetry, neuro telemetry, and MedSurg/tele units.Patient ratios typically are 1:3-4 on tele/neuro tele units and 1:4 on MedSurg/tele units.Common patient populations include post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general telemetry, neuro post-surgical patients, post crani patients, spine patients, CVAs post TPA, orthopedic patients, surgical patients, oncology patients, and general MedSurg patients requiring telemetry.Common drips include amiodarone, Cardene, nitro, heparin, dobutamine, and Cardizem; titrate down only where applicable.Centralized telemetry and GE monitors are used; Spectralink phones are used on MedSurg units.No pediatrics; patients are 15 years old and older.No ICP monitoring.

Shift & Scheduling:4 weekend shifts per schedule (Sat/Sun).Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.

Floating Requirements:First to float.Floating may include all Tele and MedSurg units; depending on skill level, may also float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, observation, Cath Lab holding, ER holding, hallway holding, and other holding areas.Observation floor is staffed first, then other units.Floating includes Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses.Notification of campus and unit is given 1.5 hours prior to shift start.Floating to different units mid-shift can happen; cross-campus floating within a shift is rare but possible.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
