Per Diem Pharmacist Opportunity Support a Team Serving Tucson Area Pharmacies

This per diem role offers a dynamic opportunity to join a 2-3 pharmacist team supporting multiple pharmacy locations in and around Tucson, AZ. These pharmacies operate within a combined retail and food environment, serving an average daily prescription volume of 100-125. You will be an essential part of a flexible coverage model, stepping in to cover call-outs, vacations, and fluctuations in workload across various sites.

Location: Tucson, AZ area (primarily around Rillito)
Schedule:

• Monday through Saturday, typically 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with some pharmacies open until 8:00 p.m.
• Hours may vary; shifts are based on coverage needs
• Ideal candidates are available 2-4 days per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert pharmacy services in retail settings, including pharmacist-only locations
• Support prescription dispensing and verify accuracy
• Utilize strong teamwork and communication skills for training and collaboration
• Manage immunization delivery per state regulations
• Use QS1 pharmacy system efficiently

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience; preference for candidates with 5+ years for top compensation
• Valid AZ pharmacist license with no restrictions
• Immunization privileges and current BLS certification required
• Experience with QS1 is a strong plus
• Ability to complete required training shifts (one 8-hour training shift provided, with additional training as needed)
