This full-time, contract position runs from early August through May and offers the opportunity to support students with a wide range of learning needs, particularly those facing challenges with emotional regulation, prosocial skills, and other eligibility areas. You'll work alongside a dedicated team, serving a diverse student population and helping create a positive impact throughout the school year.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid AZ Standard Secondary Teaching License
• Current K-12 Special Education Certificate
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Experience working with students with emotional disabilities or similar eligibility requirements
• Strong awareness of the needs of at-risk, limited English proficient, and exceptional students
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement required special services activities and documentation that meets all federal, state, and district regulations
• Essential Elements of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I) training, or willingness to complete staff development
• Commitment to maintaining an onsite presence (remote/voco not accepted)

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group instruction to students with special needs
• Collaborate closely with general education staff, parents, and other professionals to design and deliver effective educational programs
• Adapt and modify curriculum for students based on IEP goals and documented needs
• Implement behavioral and academic interventions to promote student success and self-regulation
• Maintain detailed records while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
