About the Role & Program
The summer Accounting & Finance Rotational Program (AFRP) internship is an opportunity for undergrad students interested in a career in accounting to get a summer preview of The Walt Disney Company's two-year AFRP.
The AFRP is a full-time, entry-level program designed to provide recent college graduates with cross-functional, enterprise-wide learning experience within the Controllership and Finance departments at Disney. AFRP Analysts participate in four distinct rotations designed to build key technical and leadership skills needed to succeed within the many businesses of Disney. Analysts will set goals for their program experience, allowing them to develop, grow, and enhance the necessary skills to become strong accounting and finance professionals. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be considered for various opportunities in the accounting organizations within The Walt Disney Company.
This internship is a full-time, three-month commitment, with opportunities in Glendale/Burbank, CA , Orlando, FL and/or Bristol, CT , from May/June 2026 to August/September 2026.
What You Will Do
Summer interns will be placed in ONE of the departments that typically host AFRP Analysts, which could include Corporate, Disney Entertainment, or Disney Experiences. Functional areas include Operational/Transactional Accounting, Financial Reporting, Audit & Compliance, or Finance. The internship is designed to build key technical and leadership skills needed to succeed in each segment and the Company.
Required Qualifications & Skills
A combination of academic proficiency, quantitative skills, personal motivation, and advanced written and oral communications skills
A desire to become licensed as a CPA
Dedication to building a career in accounting and finance
Business experience through internships or part-time work
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Proven track record to take on leadership positions and significant responsibility
Interest in The Walt Disney Company's two-year Accounting & Finance Rotational Program after graduation
Preferred Qualifications
3.5 GPA or higher preferred
Education
Junior - Graduating in May/June 2027 preferred
Major or previous coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related, with a focus on Accounting
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Candidate must be fully available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
This internship is an on-site position, but also requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace for the days you may work from home.
Able to provide your own housing and reliable transportation for the duration of the internship program
