Hay Press/Plant Manager

Fondomonte Arizona is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hay Press/Plant Manager to join our team in Vicksburg, Arizona. This role is responsible for managing staff, ensuring product quality, maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and driving operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a passion for agriculture and a proven ability to manage complex operations within budget. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all plant operations, including hay pressing and site management.
• Ensure top-tier quality of Alfalfa and other hays to meet customer standards.
• Maximize productivity and minimize waste of resources.
• Manage labor resources, equipment, and maintenance programs.
• Implement and audit SOPs, safety protocols, and operational standards.
• Lead recruitment, training, and succession planning for plant staff.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Uphold company policies, health & safety standards.
• Respond to emergencies and represent the company professionally.
• Accurately and safely store hay stocks on-site in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Continuously seek opportunities for improvement, cost control, and greater efficiency across all aspects of the plant/location.
• Operate equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility.
• Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
• Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in agricultural operations, preferably with a focus in agricultural manufacturing
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Strong understanding of budgeting, inventory control, and production planning
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational software systems
• Valid driver’s license
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) Desired
• Ability to work flexible hours to include, but not limited to, early AM/PM, nights, and weekends, and hours that could fluctuate day-to-day
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions required

Starting salary range $90,000-$95,000 plus bonus potential DOQ. Physical requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, reach, push, and/or pull; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl
• Ability to lift 40+lbs and work in the field, an outdoor environment, or an office.
