Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Three shifts per week (3x12s) with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratios typically 4:1 based on acuity
• 3 years of experience required (will consider less with screening)
• First-time travelers accepted
• Travel experience required
• No on-call or floating requirements
• 24-hour orientation required
• Must complete modules during first week (average 6 hours, billable)
• Required certifications: Active unrestricted Arizona RN License or compact license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Preferred certification: TNCC
• Must have Cerner charting experience
• Must have Level I and Level II trauma center experience
• Basic pediatric skills required
• RNs can wear any scrub color
• Free parking provided
• Care for patients of all ages from neonates to geriatrics
• Work in 36-bed emergency department with 145 daily census
• Must adhere to quality and patient safety standards including medication administration (BCMA)
• Skills include trauma care, cardiac monitoring, IV management, blood product administration, and emergency procedures
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy

Facility:

This is a 268-bed short-term acute care facility that serves as a teaching hospital and Level I trauma center. The emergency department features 36 beds and handles a high volume of patients with comprehensive specialty support services. The facility maintains Magnet recognition standards and utilizes Cerner electronic health records. The emergency department is equipped to handle complex trauma cases, STEMI patients, and stroke care with 24/7 specialty physician support available.
