Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

• Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86403 (Arizona nursing jobs)
• Facility: Community hospital, 171 beds, Certified Chest Pain Center, Level 3 Trauma
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown (IMC), 30 beds
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/8/2025 – End: 12/8/2025)
• Patient Ratio: 1:4 or 1:3
• Call Requirements: Yes
• Float Requirements: May float to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units (including ED holds)
• Electronic Health Record: Medhost
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $1,960 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (travel nursing experience required)
• Proven experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Intermediate Care (IMC), or similar clinical units
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (preferred)
• Expertise in caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Strong clinical skills managing STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, COPD, Sepsis, CABG (post-op), Acute Respiratory Failure, Atrial Fibrillation with RVR, ALIF, EXLIF
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical documentation skills

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiac Stepdown (IMC) unit
• Monitor, assess, and manage patients with complex cardiac and medical conditions
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform continuous cardiac monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Float to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as needed (including ED holds)
• Accurately document patient care using Medhost EHR
• Participate in call rotation as required by the unit
