Be the one who makes a difference!
At Vertex Education we are a team of high achievers, courageous leaders, and passionate believers in changing lives through education. As a purpose-led education services provider, our mission is destined to benefit many and yet it starts with just one person inspired to work together with us to make a memorable and meaningful difference for our clients, schools, students, and communities. Be the one who makes a difference—with us.
As our Marketing Analytics Lead for Legacy Traditional Schools, you will be the founding member of our marketing measurement function, tasked with transforming how we use data to drive student enrollment. This is a builder's role, focused on translating imperfect data into rapid, actionable insights that directly influence campaign strategy and budget decisions today, while simultaneously constructing the foundational attribution systems we need for tomorrow. We are looking for a pragmatic and influential business partner who prioritizes making our marketing team smarter and more effective, ensuring every decision we make is grounded in evidence as we work to change lives through education.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Marketing Analytics & Insight Generation:
Analyze marketing campaign performance across multiple channels to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for budget optimization for Legacy Traditional Schools.
Develop and maintain a suite of core performance dashboards in Tableau that track key enrollment funnel metrics, from initial lead to enrolled student.
Respond to high-priority data requests from marketing leadership by providing rapid, directionally correct analysis to inform immediate campaign and budget decisions.
Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives and present them to marketing stakeholders to guide strategic planning and action.
2. Measurement Infrastructure & Attribution Modeling:
Design, build, and deploy marketing attribution models to provide a comprehensive view of how different channels contribute to student enrollment.
Partner with the central Business Intelligence team to ensure marketing data models in Snowflake adhere to enterprise-wide governance standards and definitions.
Conduct regular data quality audits of key marketing systems like HubSpot and Google Analytics to identify, report on, and help resolve inconsistencies.
Create and maintain clear documentation for marketing data sources, metrics, and reporting logic to ensure a shared understanding across teams.
3. Stakeholder Partnership & Enablement:
Act as the primary analytical partner for the marketing team, attending strategy meetings to provide data-driven perspective on campaign planning and execution.
Train and coach marketing team members on how to use self-service dashboards and interpret data, increasing their ability to answer their own questions.
Proactively meet with marketing leaders and campaign managers to understand their business objectives and co-design analytical solutions to support them.
Facilitate discussions between marketing and other departments to align on critical definitions and metrics, ensuring consistent reporting across the organization.
4 . Experimentation & Optimization:
Establish and manage a systematic A/B testing framework to measure the impact of changes to digital advertisements, landing pages, and nurture sequences.
Analyze and report on the results of all marketing experiments, providing clear recommendations on whether to adopt, reject, or iterate on the tested changes.
Collaborate with campaign managers to design valid tests by advising on hypothesis creation, audience segmentation, and tracking requirements for reliable results.
Develop, implement, and refine lead scoring models in HubSpot to help the enrollment team prioritize their efforts on the most promising prospective families.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, marketing analytics, or data science roles, including experience in a consumer-facing industry such as enrollment, e-commerce, or D2C.
At least 3 years of direct experience supporting marketing measurement, attribution, funnel reporting, experimentation, and campaign performance analysis, with a track record of building measurement systems that improve business decision-making.
Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data manipulation, aggregation, and analysis within a cloud data warehouse like Snowflake.
Hands-on experience designing and building interactive dashboards for business stakeholders using a data visualization tool, preferably Tableau.
.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven expertise in core marketing analytics disciplines, including full-funnel analysis, multi-touch attribution modeling, campaign measurement, and A/B testing design.
Experience working with raw data from marketing automation (e.g., HubSpot) and web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) platforms.
Experience using data transformation tools like dbt to build reliable and well-documented data models.
Proficiency with a statistical programming language (e.g., Python, R) or advanced analytics platforms (e.g., Alteryx) for modeling and data analysis.
Familiarity with data governance practices, including defining key metrics and ensuring data quality across disparate systems.
Experience informally mentoring or training colleagues to improve their data literacy and ability to use analytics tools.
