Shift: 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM
Pay: $24.00 – $29.70 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Operator II – Laser Operator to join our fabrication team in Chandler, AZ. This position is responsible for operating flat bed laser and punch equipment in a high‐mix, low‐volume manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has hands‐on experience running flat bed lasers, strong blueprint‐reading abilities, and a high attention to detail to ensure parts meet strict quality and customer specifications.

Experience with Trumpf TruLaser 1030 and TruPunch/TruLaser 6000 equipment is a strong plus. Comparable flat bed laser experience is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up and operate flat bed laser and punch equipment to produce flat pattern parts
• Process aluminum, stainless steel, hot rolled steel, and cold rolled steel
• Read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings, including GD&T
• Identify and verify material types and thicknesses prior to processing
• Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
• Perform in‐process and final quality checks; ensure all parts meet specifications
• Complete all required paperwork, travelers, tagging, and part identification
• Track labor accurately using the company’s labor tracking system
• Maintain accurate part counts and verify quantities against job documentation
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine housekeeping on assigned equipment
• Report equipment issues, quality concerns, or discrepancies to supervision
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and work instructions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, organized work area (5S)

Required Qualifications

• 2–3 years of flat bed laser operation experience in manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and drawings
• Strong understanding of tolerances and quality requirements
• Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools
• Ability to identify materials and thicknesses
• Comfortable working in a high‐mix, low‐volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer skills and ability to use labor tracking systems
• Solid math skills and ability to count parts accurately

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Trumpf TruLaser 1030 and/or Trumpf 6000 equipment
• Experience with laser/punch combination operations
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices for laser equipment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to bend, reach, and work in an industrial manufacturing environment
