Bartender

We are seeking a friendly and knowledgeable Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-volume craft cocktail bar. Additional experience working in a restaurant and familiarity with different point-of-sale systems preferred.

Duties:

• Verify identification and age requirements of customers
• Open and maintain tabs throughout the shift
• Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
• Build a good rapport with customers to create a positive atmosphere
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register
• Clean draft lines and change kegs
• Maintain a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
• Serve both food and drinks to customers at the bar
• Keep customer areas clean and bus the bar when needed

Qualifications:

• Customer service
• Planning and multi-tasking
• Knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beer, and wine, and a desire to learn more
• Self-motivated with a high energy level
• Strong verbal communication skills and phone etiquette
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of experience in hospitality or guest services
• Experience using POS systems
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
