Pima Federal Credit Union of Tucson, AZ is looking to hire a full-time Mortgage Loan Officer . MORTGAGE LOAN OFFICER POSITION
Our Mortgage Loan Officers are enthusiastic about providing exceptional service to our members and consumers within the community. They will review, analyze, and submit mortgage loan and home equity line of credit requests in conformance with credit union, industry, and regulatory guidelines. Our MLOs maintain emphasis on response time, quantity of applications processed, and quality of applications approved.
This role will engage in consistent, substantial efforts outside of the office to generate sales including, without limit, meeting with potential borrowers and referral sources and proactively seeking new business relationships. As well as service incoming Home Loan inquiries, including inbound phone calls and web apps to maximize production results. The use of interpersonal and communication skills will be key in generating referral business and leads. This will include developing working relationships with new brokers and builders, with an emphasis on Realtors.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MORTGAGE LOAN OFFICER
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of mortgage origination experience
- Experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA, Construction/Perm and 2nd Mortgage Products
- Understanding of mortgage products and processes
- Ability to work independently and implement a marketing strategy to achieve desired production results
- Ability to take accurate and thorough loan applications
- Working knowledge of credit reports, DTI, LTV, and CLTV ratios
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Ability to travel to different branch locations and various training or networking events
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or economics preferred
- SAFE ACT Registered preferred, eligibility for SAFE ACT Registration required
- Proficiency with Mortgage LOS
- Ability to read, write and speak Spanish preferred, but not required
