Maintenance Mechanic (Food Industry)
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team in the food industry, located in Phoenix, AZ, 85043. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by maintaining and repairing equipment essential for food production. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment as needed.
- Participate in training programs to stay updated on industry best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and basic plumbing is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
