Industrial MV/HV Power Infrastructure Manager

Role snapshot

• Lead reliability, maintenance, and daily operations for site transformers and plant-wide MV distribution
• Coach and manage a team of Medium Voltage Technicians; set priorities and ensure safe execution
• Run a best-in-class transformer reliability program: inspections, oil testing, predictive diagnostics, and refurbishment planning
• Own critical spares strategy, inventory, and readiness
• Diagnose and resolve complex HV system issues, including protection schemes, relays, and breaker coordination
• Stand up and sustain preventive/predictive maintenance for HV/MV assets
• Partner with Engineering and Operations on upgrades and capital projects with reliability/maintainability in mind
• Ensure every task aligns with NFPA 70E, OSHA, and CMC safety standards
• Manage budgets, contractors, and project delivery for transformer upgrades, replacements, and expansions
• Inform long-term capital plans for site power infrastructure
• Perform other assigned responsibilities

You bring

• 5+ years working with medium- and high-voltage power systems in industrial or utility settings
• Expertise in transformer maintenance, protection, and distribution system reliability
• Experience with predictive tools: oil analysis, infrared, DGA, partial discharge
• Strong command of MV/HV safety practices and Arc Flash standards
• Proficiency with CMMS (SAP preferred)
• Ability to build teams and supervise both technical and non-technical staff

Education

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (or closely related discipline) required
