Vaco has partnered with an exciting company to hire an Accounting Manager in Mesa, Arizona!

Accounting Manager
$110,000–$120,000 base salary bonus (depending on experience)
Mesa, AZ (5 days on-site for training, then hybrid 3 days a week on-site)

Responsibilities include:

• Lead core accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information across the organization.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end accounting cycles while maintaining a strong focus on deadlines and reporting quality.
• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights that support business planning and decision-making.
• Manage and develop accounting team members, fostering accountability and professional growth.
• Monitor financial processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data is complete, reliable, and aligned across business systems.
• Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and internal control standards while supporting audit and reporting requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Required)
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience (Required)

• Experience owning the monthly close process and financial reporting (Required)
• Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing accounting staff (Required)
• Experience in construction or project-based environments, including WIP / percentage-of-completion (Preferred)
