We're looking for an Operations Director who is passionate about operational excellence, people development, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. This Operations Director role is responsible for leading and standardizing operational processes across all assigned sites while driving consistency, efficiency, sustainability, and service excellence.

What You'll DoSafety: We are stewards of your mental and physical well-being- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate safety and security risks across all sites
- Conduct routine safety inspections and implement corrective actions when needed
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses while ensuring timely documentation and follow-through
- Partner with the EHS team to reinforce safety initiatives and ensure compliance across locations
- Promote a strong culture of safety through accountability, awareness, and training
- Ensure proper use and enforcement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Maintain expert knowledge of janitorial tools, equipment, materials, and safe operating practices
- Promote environmentally responsible practices throughout operations
- Collaborate with Procurement to support sustainability initiatives and track green spend
- Educate employees and customers on sustainability best practices
- Partner with vendors to support eco-friendly sourcing and innovation
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency while reducing environmental impact
- Maintain expertise in green cleaning products, methods, and equipment
- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture
- Support employee engagement in volunteer opportunities and community initiatives
- Champion Verde's Mission, Vision, and Core Values through leadership and daily operations
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across teams and customer sites
- Deliver exceptional customer service through proactive communication and relationship management
- Ensure customer concerns and service issues are resolved quickly with strong follow-through
- Oversee daily operations by coordinating schedules, allocating resources, and setting priorities
- Coach, mentor, and develop managers and emerging leaders to support growth and succession planning
- Drive employee engagement through recognition, collaboration, and culture-building initiatives
- Foster open communication, accountability, and continuous improvement across teams
- Perform additional duties as assigned
The Operations Director plays a critical role in translating strategic vision into operational execution while building high-performing teams and maintaining exceptional service standards across the organization.
What Success Looks LikeAs an Operations Director, you'll help drive measurable success in the following areas:
- Financial Performance - Budget management, cost control, and operational efficiency
- Employee Satisfaction (ESAT) - Team engagement, participation, and retention
- Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) - Client feedback, service quality, and long-term relationships
- Quality & Compliance - Site inspection performance and operational consistency
- Safety - EHS compliance, proactive risk prevention, and incident reduction
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive operations leadership experience, preferably within janitorial, facilities, or service-based industries
- Minimum of 7 years of people leadership experience managing direct reports and driving performance
- Bilingual skills preferred: English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Strong understanding of operational processes, workforce planning, and service delivery models
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to perform physical activities necessary to support operational oversight, with reasonable accommodations available
- Frequent walking and use of hands for detailed and operational tasks
- Occasional standing, sitting, and repetitive motions
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed
