About the Role:
As a Line Cook in the accommodation and food services industry, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking high-quality meals that meet the standards and expectations of our establishment. Your primary focus will be to ensure timely and efficient food preparation while maintaining consistency, presentation, and taste. You will collaborate closely with kitchen staff and management to uphold food safety and sanitation guidelines, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. This role demands attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure during busy service hours, and a passion for culinary excellence. Ultimately, your efforts will directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall reputation of our food service operation in Scottsdale, ARZ.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary school certification or formal culinary training.
- Experience with various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in a professional setting.
- Food Handler’s Permit or ServSafe certification.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations and equipment.
- Ensure all food is stored, handled, and prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to manage food orders and ensure timely delivery during service.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or waste.
- Participate in daily kitchen setup and closing procedures, including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces.
- Adapt to menu changes and special dietary requests while maintaining food quality.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
