Job Summary

A growing food and beverage production organization in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Accounts Payable Technician for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 3 to 5 years of experience who enjoys accurate invoice processing, vendor communication, payment preparation, and maintaining organized financial documentation.

The Accounts Payable Technician will support day-to-day accounting operations by ensuring invoices, vouchers, expense reports, purchase orders, and payment requests are entered correctly and resolved efficiently. Key Responsibilities

- Enter invoices, vouchers, expense reports, and check requests into the accounting system with proper documentation.
- Code payable documents accurately using standard accounting procedures and internal account coding guidelines.
- Communicate with vendors by phone and email regarding invoices, account status, discrepancies, and payment inquiries.
- Investigate and resolve invoice and purchase order issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transfers for review and approval.
- File, maintain, and distribute accounts payable documents while protecting confidential financial information.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $35,360 to $49,920 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Process accounts payable documentation, including invoices, vouchers, expense reports, and payment requests.
- Research and resolve vendor, invoice, purchase order, and account status discrepancies.
- Prepare check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments for approval.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and organized payable documentation.

- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within an accounts payable department.
- Knowledge of standard accounts payable processes and accounting procedures.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to problem-solve in time-sensitive situations.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Service-first mindset with a positive, team-oriented approach.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods while working at a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Associate degree in Accounting.
- NetSuite experience.
- Quick learner with a desire to grow within the position and accounting field.
