Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-8 students in the Chandler, AZ area. This full-time role runs from July 29th through May 26th and is designed for a dedicated Occupational Therapist with expertise across school-based, home health, and healthcare environments. Your skills will be pivotal in making a meaningful impact on students’ academic environments, helping them achieve greater independence and success each day.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Arizona
- Previous experience in school-based, home health, or healthcare OT strongly preferred
- Familiarity working with K-8 populations and adapting interventions to individual student needs
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to effectively document progress and develop personalized treatment plans
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services to K-8 students per IEP or 504 plan requirements
- Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for classroom modifications, accommodations, and assistive technology
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to foster optimal learning environments
- Maintain comprehensive records and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to support student progress both in-school and at home
