Physical Therapist Job Details

• Location: Chandler, AZ (85224) – Arizona physical therapy jobs
• Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF)
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Contract)
• Duration: 13 weeks (August 27, 2025 – November 26, 2025)
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour days)
• Hours per Week (Scheduled): 40
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2120–$2180/week
• Weekend Requirement: One weekend shift per month
• Float Requirement: Ability to float to Gilbert location (15 minutes away) if needed

Physical Therapist Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license – Arizona PT license preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in adult inpatient rehab, SNF, IRF, or acute care settings
• Clinical experience with neurological, orthopedic, and complex medical patient populations
• Strong teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Proficient in EHR systems (UDS and Cerner)
• Willingness to float to nearby Gilbert facility as needed

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive physical therapy services to adult patients in a 50-bed IRF
• Provide care for patients with neurological injuries, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, stroke, amputations, and orthopedic conditions
• Utilize advanced rehabilitation equipment: In-motion, Synaptic, EKSO, and VR technology
• Participate in team conferences and collaborate with PT/OT staff, overseeing approximately 9 patients
• Support wound care, respiratory therapy, and IV antibiotic therapy as part of multidisciplinary clinical support
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals, safety, and home transition planning
• Maintain accurate documentation in EHR systems
