Sonoran Roots is looking for a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our team as Cultivation Staff.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
Cultivation Staff play a vital role in supporting the growth and maintenance of cannabis plants throughout their lifecycle. They are responsible for executing daily cultivation tasks to ensure plant health, productivity, and compliance with regulatory standards.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform assigned tasks based on cultivation schedule.
- Monitor flower rooms environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, light levels and equipment functionality.
- Inspect plants for signs of pests and diseases.
- Work collaboratively with cultivation team members with flower room loading, scheduled defoliation, trellising, and training to support plant growth.
- Assist with harvesting and post-harvest processing of cannabis plants including cleaning all bins, shears and equipment used during harvest and post harvest operations, and resetting rooms for post harvest clean-up.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a clean working environment including flower rooms, cultivation areas, and all common areas.
- Adhere to safety protocols and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Perform scheduled weekend coverage for all designated rooms with minimal to no supervision as directed.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- Basic understanding of plant biology and cultivation techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving cultivation practices.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve standing, bending, and lifting.
- Familiarity with environmental control systems (e.g., temperature, humidity) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM) principles and practices.
- Compliance with safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe environment.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow SOPs.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed.
- Must be 21+ years old.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an AZDHS Facility Agent Card.
- Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Reliable attendance and communication - show up to work when you say you will and do what you say you will do.
- Criminal background checks will be performed; most marijuana-related crimes will not negatively impact an application.
- Reliable transportation.
Additional Qualifications (Preferred):
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Additional education or certification in Horticulture, Agriculture, or related fields is beneficial.
- Previous experience in agriculture, horticulture, or cannabis cultivation is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with plant care and cultivation practices is advantageous.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
