An opportunity is available for an experienced inpatient pharmacist to provide critical pharmacy support within a hospital setting in Winslow, AZ. This role involves working directly with inpatient care teams to ensure safe and effective medication management for hospitalized patients.
Location:
- Winslow, Arizona
Schedule:
- 2 to 4 days per week
- Shift hours: 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense and verify medications for inpatient use
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy
- Monitor patient responses and adjust medications as necessary
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
- Utilize hospital technology systems, including Cerner and Pyxis (training provided)
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active pharmacist license in Arizona
- Previous hospital inpatient pharmacy experience
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently within a healthcare team environment
