Operations Manager
ON SITE ONLY IN PHOENIX, AZ.
Role Overview: The Operations Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for the daily execution of company food and beverage events across multiple territories. This role ensures trucks are staffed, stocked, deployed, and operated at a consistently high level while maintaining safety, service quality, and operational efficiency.
This is a field-oriented role ideal for an operator who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys leading frontline teams, and takes pride in making complex operations run smoothly.
Comfortable working early mornings, weekends, and peak seasonal schedules. Mechanically inclined candidates are a plus but not required.
This is not a desk-based or corporate operations role. Success requires hands-on involvement in the field and direct engagement with staff and events.
Company Background: This is a mobile food and beverage franchise serving schools, youth sports, nonprofits, HOAs, and community events. The business currently operates five territories in Phoenix & Scottsdale supported by five Vehicles and one trailer, with plans to scale over the next twenty-four months. As the business grows, the Operations Manager plays a critical role in reducing owner dependency and creating repeatable, scalable operating systems.
Daily Operations & Execution: Plan and manage daily and weekly schedules for KEVs and trailer. Ensure events are properly staffed, vehicles are prepared and deployed on time, and service standards are met at every event.
Staffing, Training & Leadership: Recruit, onboard, train, and manage drivers and event staff. Build a reliable bench of seasonal and part-time employees. Identify and develop lead drivers and field supervisors.
Fleet, Warehouse & Inventory: Oversee vehicle readiness, cleanliness, maintenance coordination, and fuel management. Manage warehouse operations, inventory levels, product prep, and supply distribution to trucks.
Event Quality & Problem Resolution: Serve as the primary escalation point for on-site issues. Resolve staffing, equipment, or customer challenges quickly and professionally. Ensure a positive experience for customers, partners, and sponsors. Execute and support events as needed.
Process & Continuous Improvement: Standardize operating procedures across staff and vehicles. Capture post-event feedback and collaborate with Sales and Revenue Ops to implement operational improvements.
Success Metrics: Event execution quality, on-time deployments, staffing reliability, labor efficiency, inventory accuracy, vehicle uptime, and positive feedback from partners and customers.
Requirements
Three to seven years of experience in operations, logistics, food service, hospitality, or multi-unit retail environments.
Experience managing hourly and seasonal teams is required.
Experience working with schools or youth-based nonprofits is a strong plus.
