Job Description:
Data Redaction Coordinator
- Coordinating and r edacting qualitative and quantitative requests for the agency. This includes responding to external and internal requests, communicating with program areas, and ensuring the final product is delivered.
- The candidate will be primarily responsible for re dacting qualitative and quantitative data, co mmunicating with constituents and ADE staff, as well as completing weekly status reports.
- A successful Data Redaction Coordinator will have a high level of attention to de ta il, be receptive to feedback, communicate w ell with team members, adapt to changing environments, and be able to work with minimal defined requirements.
- The ideal candidate must have extensive experience with Adobe, MicroSoft Word, and Excel.
- Convert files
- Review qualitative and quantitative data requests.
- Communicate and process requests with appropriate program areas.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative data redactions.
- Work closely / collaboratively with cross-functional teams (e.g., Data Governance, Program Areas).
- Participate in planning meetings, and stand-up meetings as scheduled. Participate in standard of work discussions and reviews.
- Coordinate with Data Governance and Program Areas to ensure required redactions are completed and approved prior to sending to constituents.
- Advanced understanding of Adobe tools and functions .
- Advanced skills with Excel.
- Ability to recognize and apply redactions patterns and best practices.
- Experience with HelpDesk systems.
- Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables to meet commitments.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with program areas and subject matter experts.
- Ability to work as part of a self-directed team, in which tasks are determined daily in coordination with co-workers, rather than being assigned.
- Ability to work with a minimal amount of direction while being proactive in keeping management informed of related issues.
- Ability to respectfully question ideas and share a point of view with others in support of governing and protecting the data of the department of education.
- Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of employees ranging from entry level to senior leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments at the same time and shift priorities quickly.
- Proven strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Adobe redaction tools.
- Experience with Microsoft office 365.
- Prior data redaction experience.
- 2 or more years of professional experience utilizing the required skills listed above.
- Experience working on confidential information
- Experience in the Education or Government sector
- High School Diploma
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business or related field of study, or equivalent professional experience.
