Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6–9 months)

Pay Rate: $19–$26/hour (conversion potential $60K–$70K annually)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Fleet Operations Coordinator to provide hands-on support managing a large and dynamic vehicle fleet for a major client. This role is ideal for someone with experience in fleet operations, vehicle rentals, logistics, or branch-level operations who enjoys being on-site, engaging with customers and vendors, and keeping fleet assets running efficiently. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for day-to-day fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are maintained, inspected, scheduled, and ready for use while identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations for a variable vehicle fleet
  • Perform thorough pre- and post-service vehicle inspections
  • Coordinate light detailing, cleaning, and washing of fleet vehicles
  • Schedule and oversee mechanical and body repairs with third-party vendors
  • Ensure vehicles are refueled and returned in service-ready condition
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and vendor activity
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and fleet personnel
  • Partner with internal teams and clients to improve fleet efficiency and performance
  • Identify and recommend cost-saving or process improvement opportunities
  • Support fleet operations across multiple locations and report updates to corporate partners

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1–2 years of experience with fleet vehicles, rental equipment, or vehicle maintenance operations
  • Strong understanding of vehicle repair, maintenance, and fleet coordination
  • Ability to be on your feet and active for up to 8 hours per day
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate fleet vehicles
  • Flexibility to work weekends and some holidays

Preferred:

  • College degree in Business, Operations, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of customer service or B2B account support experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in logistics, operations management, or terminal/branch operations

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr.
