CNC Mill Machinist

PPS is seeking an entry level CNC Mill Machinist to join our semiconductor industry operations in Chandler, AZ! This is a full-time position with a highly competitive pay rate, second-to-none benefits, and a high ceiling for growth!

Responsibilities:

• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, materials, specifications, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions
• Sets-up mills and lathes
• Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

• Must possess basic math skills for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.
• Basic knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and scales.
• Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and geometric tolerance and dimensions.
• Be able to sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; trimming heads.
• Be able to programs mills and lathes by entering instructions
• Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
• Good work ethic and flexibility to work overtime and shift is a must.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines and stand for long period of time.
• Must be able to contribute to continuous improvement techniques to improve output, quality, cost and delivery.
• 1+ year experience operating CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Haas CNC Mill experience preferred
