Overview
Registered Nurse – ICU travel assignment in Fort Defiance, Arizona. Start date: 04/20/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,234 to $2,326. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12 Flex (12-hour shifts). Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including monitoring hemodynamics, ventilation, and multi-system status.
- Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and adjust plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Perform ongoing assessments, interpret monitor data, document care accurately, and communicate changes to the charge nurse and physicians.
- Initiate and participate in rapid response and code procedures; support patient/family education and discharge planning as appropriate.
- Maintain competency in ICU protocols and equipment; participate in rounds and contribute to care plans.
- May be asked to float to other departments within scope of practice and competencies; assist with call lights and routine patient care tasks as needed.

Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice (Arizona preferred).
- ICU experience: minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience; Charge Nurse experience required.
- Certifications: American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and Conscious Sedation (facility-provided option available for a fee).
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts and to cover days, nights, weekends, and holidays; able to respond to changing unit needs.
- Ability to float to other departments within competency; strong communication and teamwork skills.
