Assist in providing training support services in various settings from a new hire to a peer member and community Peer Support Training, as well as doing Peer Support services to educate and to advance recovery and wellness.

Position overview statement:

This is responsible work in the field of behavioral health to assist in providing training internally and to outside agencies and clients in multiple locations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

New Hire Training

Other duties:

· Maintains Trainers inbox.

· Assist or facilitate Trainer of Trainers (TOT) for new trainers.

· Assure the implementation and facilitation of training programs

· Assistance as a Peer Support Specialist that will utilize and teach problem solving techniques to individuals and/or groups; discussions will be applied where peers will share common problems in daily living (life skills) and what methods can be used to manage and cope with these problems.

· Be able to share what skills, strengths, supports and resources can be used.

· Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Live Peer Support Training (PST)

· Following PST Orientations, ensure peer’s ‘cleared’ status, generate training roster & send on to claims department for verification.

· Verify claims entered by other trainers following each day of training.

· Enroll absentees in online PST curriculum and monitor progress.

· Facilitate PST on an as needed, fill in basis.

Knowledge or Experience:

Understand how to provide wellness services to educate, support and promote tools and skills to maintain, improve and enhance holistic health to reduce complications of psychotropic medications, complex medical issues, and co-morbidity.

Training or teaching experience prefered

1 Year experience as a Certified Peer Support

HS diploma or equivalent

Current AZ Drivers license,

Able to clear a background

Drug Free

We have supportive housing which offers a variety of quality housing and wrap-around recovery and wellness and is responsive to our tenant needs, preferences and lifestyle.
