Team Member (KFC)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

  • Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Take customer orders, suggest menu items, and provide information about products or promotions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely order processing, ensuring customers receive their orders as expected.
  • Address customer concerns and complaints professionally and promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and provide a high level of customer service during busy periods.

2. Food Preparation & Quality:

  • Assist in the preparation of food items, ensuring that all menu items are made according to KFC’s quality standards.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene practices, including proper handling, cooking, and storage of food items.
  • Ensure food is served fresh, hot, and accurately prepared at all times.
  • Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper portion control.

3. Cleaning & Sanitation:

  • Maintain cleanliness in the restaurant, including the dining area, kitchen, and restrooms.
  • Clean and sanitize workstations, kitchen equipment, and dining areas regularly.
  • Ensure all food preparation areas meet the required hygiene standards.
  • Follow all company policies for sanitation, health, and safety standards.

4. Teamwork & Communication:

  • Work collaboratively with other team members and leadership to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow employees and supervisors to meet customer needs.
  • Assist in training new team members and provide guidance as needed.
  • Be flexible in performing a variety of tasks and help out where needed across different areas of the restaurant.

5. Cash Handling & Register Operation:

  • Handle cash and operate the register accurately, ensuring correct change is given to customers.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate cash drawers and complete necessary paperwork for register transactions.
  • Ensure that all transactions are processed in compliance with company procedures.

6. Food Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met.
  • Follow all company policies related to health and safety, including proper food handling and safety procedures.
  • Maintain safe working practices at all times, including when operating kitchen equipment.

7. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the restocking of supplies and ingredients as needed.
  • Support the team in ensuring that the restaurant meets customer expectations and operational goals.
  • Participate in promotional activities and company events as directed by the restaurant manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors to ensure the restaurant’s smooth operation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in a customer service or fast-food role is a plus but not required.
    • No prior experience needed, as training will be provided.
  • Skills:
    • Strong customer service and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food quality.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment and support fellow team members.
    • Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions.
  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
    • Must be at least 16 years old (age requirement may vary based on location).
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and move around the restaurant.
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
