Behavioral Health Technician - Per Diem

Our Level 1, acute care psychiatric facility located in Glendale is licensed to treat adults and adolescents for a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency. Our team is dedicated to the wellness of individuals, their families, and the community through prevention, intervention, and treatment.

The experienced Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) is responsible and accountable for assisting the RN in inpatient care. Under the RN's supervision, the BHT will assist with patients' activities of daily living. The BHT is also an active participant in daily shift rounds and in the treatment plan process and will assist in creating and maintaining a therapeutic milieu. The BHT will gather information and provide crisis intervention to assist the RN in implementing the patient's treatment and care plan. The BHT will conduct activities/groups as assigned by the Charge Nurse/Therapist to support treatment goals and objectives. The BHT will ensure a safe environment.

All BHT duties will be performed in accordance with the hospital's established policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, as well as those of state and regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

Must be able to work a minimum of 4 days each month (more shifts can be acquired).

Certified in TO, CPR, and First Aid Training or completed within the first 30 days of hire.

Must be 21 years of age or older

High School Diploma or verifiable equivalent

• Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical
• Must be eligible for a fingerprint clearance card
