What You’ll Do:

The AR Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely full cycle accounts receivable billing, payments, and collections within Acumen for reimbursement. This individual will provide these services to a variety of funding sources as determined and directed by the various program contracts.

• Prepare and process electronic and hardcopy medical claims for various funding sources
• Maintain and update billing records in Excel spreadsheets
• Post payments and manage collections efficiently
• Investigate and resolve denied invoices
• Ensure compliance with contract updates and changes
• Collaborate with internal and external partners for smooth payment processing
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve AR processes

What We’re Looking For:
Minimum Qualifications:

• 1+ year of accounts receivable, billing, or collections experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, formulas)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with medical billing and collections
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and 10-key data entry
• Knowledge of HIPAA and Medicaid regulations
