Occupational Therapist
We are looking for a talented Occupational Therapist to join our team for the school year.
Hourly Rate Range: $41.00-$52.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ motor, sensory, and functional needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to integrate therapy strategies into the learning environment.
- Recommend and implement adaptive equipment and classroom modifications to improve student accessibility.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Arizona Department of Education and IDEA guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Provide training and consultation to teachers and staff on strategies to support student independence.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Arizona OT License (issued by the Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners).
- Arizona Department of Education (ADE) certification or ability to obtain one (if required for school-based roles).
- NBCOT Certification preferred.
- Fingerprint Clearance Card & Background Check required.
