HYGIENIST
Job Opening: Dental Hygienist at Jeffrey D Clark DDS PC

Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride application and sealant application.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies that improve oral health conditions.
- Conduct oral health assessments and provide information on preventative care to dental patients.
- Collaborate closely with dentists to plan and implement individualized care for patients.
- Maintain patient dental records; documenting dental history or chief complaints and dental findings.
- Advise patients on the importance of maintaining proper oral hygiene and preventive oral care.
- Implement appropriate radiographic diagnostic procedures.
- Participate in patient screening procedures that include assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, and head and neck inspection.
- Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulatory guidelines (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, FEHA, DOL, HR policies and practices).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
- Current dental hygienist license in the state where the job is located.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Dental Hygienist.
- Proficiency in dental software and computer applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment.
- Commitment to learning about new techniques and procedures in dental hygiene.
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Demonstrable abilities in motivating patients to improve and maintain their oral health.
