Travel Pharmacist Opportunity – Northern Arizona

Location: Northern Arizona

Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks (with possible extension)

Start Date:June 29, 2026

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Are you an experienced pharmacist looking to make a real impact while working in a unique and fulfilling role?

Join Dependable Staffing for a 13-week travel assignment supporting Tribal and Indian Health Service (IHS) facilities in rural Northern Arizona. This opportunity allows you to practice at the top of your license and serve underserved communities, providing critical pharmacy services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications and provide patient counseling on proper use
• Conduct outpatient pharmacy clinics: assess patients, adjust treatment plans, and monitor outcomes
• Review medication therapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings for safety, appropriateness, and effectiveness
• Collaborate with providers and nursing staff to optimize medication usage
• Review and verify chemotherapy treatment plans for safe dosing and administration
• Offer drug information and clinical guidance to healthcare teams
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to therapeutic decision-making
• Support emergency response (Code Blue, trauma) with dosing, preparation, and medication administration
• Perform therapeutic drug monitoring and evaluate medication regimens for optimal patient outcomes
• Educate and train pharmacy staff, students, and healthcare professionals
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and manage daily pharmacy operations
• Maintain accurate documentation, including clinical interventions and patient records
• Contribute to disaster preparedness and response activities
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, including proper PPE use and decontamination
• Stay proficient with pharmacy systems and workflows

Requirements:

• Active Arizona Pharmacist License (in good standing)
• Current MMR, HepB, Varicella titers
• Current TB test & Tdap vaccination
• AHA BLS Certification
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills
