Engineering Tech I

The Resort Facilities Maintenance Technician I will support resort operations by performing maintenance tasks including projects preventive maintenance and work orders. This individual must possess and adhere to the following core values:

As a  Resort Facilities Maintenance Technician I you will:

• Perform engineering projects guest calls blitzes and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management.
• Provide general support by performing basic tasks such as painting caulking and wall repairs.
• Perform basic plumbing diagnostics on toilets bathtubs Jacuzzis showers faucets and sinks including unclogging.
• Reset breakers and GFCIs replace light bulbs and measure available voltage using appropriate tools.
• Install and/or replace TVs troubleshoot issues and program remote controls TVs and other electronic devices.
• Diagnose appliances replace minor components and assist with complete replacements as needed.
• Actively participate in procurement and inventory processes to ensure materials and tools are available on-site.
• Operate resort operations devices and software effectively (HotSOS and other applicable systems).
• Communicate professionally through radios phones emails and verbal interactions.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by resort management.
• Safely use hand tools power tools and battery-powered tools needed for the job.
• Work using ladders scaffolding lifts and appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Follow safety guidelines and practices.
• Recognize and identify potential safety hazards on the property.
• Communicate and interpret guest needs through positive interactions toward resolution.
• Adhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures.
• Always represent Westgate Resorts professionally through appearance attire and behavior.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadership.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma required.
• Written and verbal communication in English is required.
• Up to 1 year of experience in Engineering/Maintenance/Trades operations within a resort or commercial environment.
• Must communicate effectively with immediate supervisors and resort leadership.
• Must be detail-oriented with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to various tasks perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
• Must have and maintain a valid drivers license.
• Regularly the team member must lift move push or pull up to 50 pounds.
