Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Facilities & Manufacturing Project Manager to lead and deliver critical operational projects at our Pewaukee campus. This is not an IT project management role. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing facilities projects, with manufacturing project experience strongly preferred.
Job Description
- Lead and manage multiple concurrent projects, including: Office remodel impacting approximately 85 employees, Enterprise document digitization initiative, Manufacturing warehouse redesign
- Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to established timelines and budgets.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Oversee the complete project lifecycle from planning through implementation and closeout.
- Ensure quality control throughout all phases of each project.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and timelines.
- Create and maintain business requirements and all project documentation to reflect current project status.
- Track milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and project changes.
- Monitor progress and provide regular project status updates to stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external vendors.
- Coordinate cross-functional project teams consisting of engineering, customer service, applications, and operations personnel.
- Communicate project plans, schedules, logistics, and updates to employees and leadership.
- Facilitate meetings and ensure alignment across all project stakeholders.
- Coordinate the work of contractors, consultants, suppliers, and service providers.
- Ensure vendor performance meets project requirements, timelines, and quality expectations.
- Escalate issues and resolve obstacles to maintain project momentum.
- Lead the evaluation, cataloging, retention, archiving, and secure destruction of physical documents.
- Ensure compliance with company standards for proprietary and confidential information.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Resolve issues proactively to minimize project delays.
- Organize team activities, assign responsibilities, and maintain balanced resource plans throughout each project phase.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to support project success.
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm or 7:30am – 4:00pm
Skills Required
- 3–5 years of project management experience in facilities, construction, manufacturing, operations, or related environments.
- Demonstrated success leading facilities or manufacturing projects from planning through completion.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong experience coordinating cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
- Outstanding organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and drive projects forward with minimal oversight.
- Skilled at managing changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Comfortable working with legacy paper/document processes and process improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Manufacturing project experience.
- Experience with office renovations, warehouse redesigns, or facilities improvement projects.
- Familiarity with standard project management software such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
- PMP certification is welcome but not required. Practical facilities and manufacturing project management experience is significantly more important than formal certification.
Education
- Highschool diploma or GED
Pay Rate
- $53 - $63 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
