TravelNurseSource is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Phoenix, Arizona, 85087!

RN Telemetry | Phoenix, AZ

We are currently seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for a 12-hour night shift travel assignment in Phoenix, Arizona at a Level I Trauma facility . This unit focuses primarily on Neuro and Med-Surg patients with telemetry monitoring .

Location: Phoenix, AZ 85013
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
Unit: Neuro Acute – 6NNA/B
Beds: 48 (including 10 epilepsy specialty rooms)
‍⚕️ Patient Ratio: 1:4

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Must pass Dysrhythmia Exam before acceptance (2 attempts allowed)

Patient Population

• Epilepsy monitoring (24–48 hr EEG studies)
• Brain tumors
• Subdural hematomas
• Traumatic brain injuries (TBI)
• Post-surgical neuro cases
• Scoliosis surgeries

Unit Support

• Charge nurse (no patient assignment)
• Resource RN on both shifts
• Patient Care Technicians available
• Respiratory Therapy 24/7
• Pharmacy 24/7
• SWAT RN available for difficult IV access

Orientation & Skills Validation

• 2 shifts of floor orientation
• Day 1 SIM Lab (Pass/Fail) including:

• Foley catheter insertion

• Central line dressing change
  • Strict sterile technique required

Additional Requirements

• 50-mile radius rule (Driver’s license required at submission)
• Must have own vehicle
• Natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing

Scheduling & Floating

• Self-scheduling with weekend rotation
• Floating possible to Med-Surg/Telemetry units

Dress Code: Grey’s Anatomy / Steel colored scrubs

This is an excellent opportunity for strong Telemetry or Med-Surg nurses with neuro experience who thrive in a high-acuity Level I Trauma environment and have strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
