Job Details:

• Work 4 days per week with 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekends or call required for this position
• Specialize in neurosurgery operating room with 11 suites
• Handle 400-450 cases per month, approximately 20-25 cases per day
• Cases include craniotomies, tumor removals, carotids, spine fusions, lumbar procedures, scoliosis, shunts, brain biopsies, deep brain stimulation, and tumor ablation
• Required certification: BLS Certification
• Preferred certifications: ACLS and CNOR, with AORN membership preferred
• Circulate and scrub experience is a plus
• Must complete Day 1 pass/fail examination
• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes (pass/fail requirement)
• Additional training in lifts, restraints, and wound care
• One week floor-specific OR orientation
• Work with Cerner and Suginet EMR systems
• Scrubs provided by facility
• May float to general surgery if background permits
• BSN not required
• Cannot work permanent or per diem at another facility within the last 12 months
• 50-mile radius rule applies

The organization emphasizes high standards of sterile technique and nursing competency, with a team composition of 70% RNs and 30% CSTs supporting surgical operations.
